It was at the 1999 Pan American Games that Gold Medal Systems first introduced GEMS. GEMS was used for Volunteer Registration and Management, Registration of all other participants, Accreditation, and Sport Registration. Seamless interfaces with the imaging sponsor's pass production system and the sport results system were also created, along with interfaces with various other external systems, such as Athlete Medical and Clothing Distribution.
Gold Medal Systems staff also provided many hours of process and business consulting to Pan American Games staff. We were also available for on site technical support at games time.
